What is an Ablrate Standard Account?

What is an Ablrate Standard Account?

An Ablrate Standard Account is our general investment account. This account is always created when you sign up to Ablrate.

You can deposit funds into your Standard Account and then transfer them over to your IFISA, or you can deposit straight into your IFISA. We make automated checks so you cannot over fund your IFISA. If we receive funds into our bank account that are designated for your IFISA and placing them in your IFISA account would over fund it, we will fund the IFISA account to its remaining allowance and place the balance in your standard account where it may be withdrawn or loaned to borrowers.

You do not have to make investments with your Standard Account. You may choose only to invest through your IFISA account.

PLEASE REMEMBER, REGARDLESS OF THE TAX BENEFITS, CAPITAL IS AT RISK

Whether investments are held within a IFISA or in a general account, they are not covered by the FSCS; the government backed deposit insurance scheme that protects bank deposits including Cash ISAs.
